위 글의 해석이 어디서 끊어 읽느냐에 따라 두 가지로 나뉘어 지는것 같아요..

1)통솔한다는 것은 다른 사람들에게 길을 알려주기위해 앞장 서 가는 것과 다른 사람들의 행동과 의견에 영향을 주는 것이다.

to가 부사적 용법으로 나왔는데 어떻게 나눠서 읽어야 할까요? 자습서에는 2번처럼 해석이 되어있는데 다른 교재에서는 1번처럼 해석을 하더라구요..ㅠ.ㅠ
해석을 어떻게하든 자연스러운것 같은
이런경우 정말 애매한 것 같은데..의견 부탁드립니다..
