질문 내용 죄송하지만 밑줄 친 부분 해석좀 부탁드립니다. it is idealistic and naive to believe that anyone is ever genuinely politically neutral. every judge will lean towards a certain political view and possess some biases. it is better that these political and juridical leanings be known and voted on than that they be concealed through the system of appointment. in addition, being a judge is a crucially important job ─ judging fairly and firmly based on the laws of the nation. the *incumbent must be answerable to and removable by the people. the job also accompanies power, prestige and influence and like the presidents are elected, the people should have a say in who it is that gets the power and influence. appointed judges gain power through unaccountable process of networking and politicking and are not answerable to anybody.
*incumbent: 현직자
