even though와 as though의 차이에 대해 질문이 있습니다..he slowly even though / as though to flag me down.

이 문장에서 정답은 as though 인데요.. 물론 even though가 접속사니까 뒤에 주어 동사가 없어서 as though가 정답일텐데요.. 그런데 as though 와 to flag 사이에 it were가 생략 되는건지 궁금합니다..
