One such system involves comparing the period of dimming and brightening of the light from a star with its general brightness. The fact that there is a relationship between these two effects and the distance of the star from the earth was discovered by accident in 1912 by Henrietta Leavitt. sing this system, astronomers have measured stars that are as far away as 150,000 light-years. This is 150,000 times 6,000,000,000,000 miles away!
In order to gather further information about heavenly bodies, an astronomer uses telescopes and many other instruments. Sometimes an astronomer uses a special camera to photograph the heavens. The telescope ad the camera are driven by motors automatically follow the stars as they appear to move across the heavens. In reality, the telescope and the camera move to compensate for the rotation of the earth. With the desired stars remaining for s long in the same position in the eyepiece of the telescope, extremely long camera exposures can be made. May stars become visible on the photographic film that could not be seen by looking through the telescope.

① The distance of the star from the earth was discovered by Henrietta Leavitt.
② Telescopes are very useful to get information about heavenly bodies.
③ Many other instruments as well as telescopes are required for information about heavenly bodies.
④ A special camera which an astronomer uses to photograph the heavens automatically follow the stars as they appear to move across the heavens.
⑤ We can not see all the stars by looking through the telescope.

왜 답이 1번인가요? 2번아닌가요? 마지막줄에 보면 매우 유용한건아닌거 같은데ㅠㅠ;
