안녕하세요, 변형 문제지를 푸는데 모르는게있어서 질문드려요.

the attendant at the information dest told us they were having some problems(to accept / accepting) credit card payments.

둘 중의 하나 고르기 인데, 답은 accepting이네요.
근데 왜 to부정사는 안되는지 이해가 안되서요.
