plastic(플라스틱)은 셀 수 없는 명사이니까 단수취급을 하는 것이 맞나요??

단수취급을 하는 줄 알았더니 모의고사에서 Plastics can be used in~이라고 나오길래 질문올려요..ㅠㅠ
