predator의 사전적인 의미는 사냥꾼, prey는 사냥의 먹잇감인데 문장에서는 범죄자를 predator, 범죄의 희생양(즉 일반주민)을 prey라고 비유적으로 썼습니다. 그 점을 염두에 두고 해석을 하자면
대규모 커뮤니티의 장점은 그 자체의 규모에서 오는 (범죄로부터의) 안전함에 있다.
어느 때든지 먹잇감이 많이 모여 있을수록 사냥꾼 입장에서는 사냥할 대상을 찾기가 쉽다.
하지만 이렇게 큰 집단이라면 사냥하기 전에 한번쯤은 더 생각해볼 것이다.
