No adult scientist has ever been half as curious as any child between the ages of four months and four years. Sometimes we mistake this marvelous curiosity as a lack of abilty to cincentrate. The truthis that learning begins at birth, and by the time children begin formal schooling, they have already absorbed a tremendous amount of information, perhaps more, fact for fact,than they will learn during the rest of their lives. If parents are samart, they will increase the knowledge their children absorb by patiently encouraging this curiosity.
