We arrived at the temple in the night and without any guides. It would be impossible to try to give any detailed description of the structure itself - words would not do it justice. Suffice to say, it combined grace and majesty in perfect harmony. We stayed at the temple for several hours, wandering through it in ecstasy as we read its inscriptions by the light of our torches. We returned the next morning to find that what had been magnificent in the moonlight was even more so when viewed in the light of day. The temple served to remind us of the great accomplishments that were achieved by ancient people outside of Europe. No other civilization, neither past nor present, has ever created architecture that rivals that of the ancient Egyptians.
